This isn't another Coronavirus update, but welcome news of the new rates of Funded Nursing Care (FNC) for residents of Nursing Homes.
FNC was set at £165.56 a week in April 2018 and remained at that level until now. However, the NHS has announced that an 8% rise to £180.31 applies from April 2019 and this will be backdated.
The FNC rate from April 2020 rises by 2% to £183.92 a week.
This will be welcome help for all those that are meeting increasing fees in nursing homes.
